As trust in banks and stock investments is collapsing nowadays, several worried savers are taking their cash out of banks, and are turning to other kinds of investments such as art. Investing in art seems to be an interesting alternative because savers believe that art investments survive an economic downturn, and therefore provide higher returns. However, art markets remain very unpredictable, and sometimes art prices fluctuate more than on stock markets. That’s why savers should realize that – even on art markets - losing money is as easy as earning some.
